I've owned this bag for a couple years and have hiked with it with Great Satisfaction. Last year we hike in the Rockies and I paired it up with the pack mule & cargo carrier making it a win/win. I have and will continue to recommend to all (Posted on 4/26/2017)

People always ask where I got this bag and I've had it for maybe 4 years. This thing is amazing. (Posted on 10/26/2016)

I loved my bugout! It held up for 4 years of deployments and a ton of "extracurricular" activities. I bought this bag in FL and it has served me very well over the years, and only after 5 years and change of being my primary use bag did it finally start showing wear. the outside of the bag started to wear thin, and though it hasnt broken yet, im still going to pick up another. Thanks SOC! Semper Fi! (Posted on 8/29/2016)

survived the most brutal army field training and live fires. carries a full combat load of SAW round and still has plenty of room. chest strap likes to break but if your a man then you should know how to sew or use duct tape. (Posted on 5/29/2016)
Nice, *nice* bag Review by Big E

I've had mine for fourteen or fifteen years, so the feature set has changed, but it has held up fantastically. Very flexible in setup, holds a ton, and keeps things dry unless the canoe capsizes. Only nit is that I am 6'2" and wear a 48L, and in backpack mode I'd prefer the shoulder straps further apart and some more torso length for the hip belt. (Posted on 10/14/2015)
Best bag for the money Review by CPT Rob USAR

I have owned my bag in desert tan since 2004. I bought it in Iraq and it has traveled all around the world and the US with me. Dollar for dollar there is no better bag. I had to modify this old version to be hydration compatible and it would be nice if it had a little better access to the computer when travelling. I have looked at many other bags from many other reputable manufacturers and cannot find another bag with this much room and accessibility. In the last year I have purchased several other bags for my family and myself. The value and durability of all the SOC products is second to none. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for a bag jump on this one. Also if you are in the SoCal area stop by there showroom they are very nice and want to take care of you personally. I fly internationally 20 - 30 times a year as an On Board
Courier. I do not check personal luggage. I needed a backpack to carry on and hold two or three days clothing. The bug out accomplishes this. I have had this bag for about 1 1/2 years.
I have two issues with this bag. #1 it has been difficult for me to not only figure out the proper use of all of the straps and clips as well as getting a comfortable fit. I will put part of the blame on myself and a lot on the retailer. I think SOC should offer some type of video or written instruction manual with the proper adjustments etc. #2 this bag is not for "lightweights" it is heavy before loading anything. But I knew this at time of purchase. Durability and the ability to take some hard knocks motivated my selection.

Nice bag and very durable, however I have the coyote bugout bag and my wife has the black one which has a waterproof lining and my coyote one doesnt. Can anyone tell me why, or maybe I have a defective pack? Not sure but other than that very satisfied.
